Stella Artois and Water.Org Celebrate World Water Day

On Wednesday, March 22 Stella Artois and Water.org commemorated World Water Day with the unveiling of "The Water Clouds," a public art installation at New York City's The Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center.

 

The installation - created by art/architecture practice Snarkitecture - is a visual representation of the number of people in the developing world who will gain access to clean water through the "Buy A Lady A Drink" campaign since the program’s inception in 2015.

 

To celebrate the installation, Brito joined Water.org co-founders Matt Damon and Gary White to talk about the global water crisis and the evolution of the "Buy A Lady A Drink" partnership.

 

“Buy A Lady A Drink” launched in 2015, leveraging Stella Artois’ global footprint to help raise awareness of the water crisis and spark consumer action to address this critical issue. This year, the brand announced a four‐year commitment with Water.org to help provide 3.5 million people with long‐term, sustainable access to clean water by 2020.

 

Also this year, our wholesaler network helped get the Limited-Edition Chalices that benefit Water.org to be sold at retail for the first time. In previous years, Chalices were only sold through Amazon.com.
